Disney Guide - Add the Beach, NASA and a Cruise to Your Trip

Looking for a Guide to Disney? If your goal is a great trip for the kids, how about adding something to the trip most folks don't do? Disney is very expensive, therefore, a budget for Disney would allow for a lot of alternatives.

Did you know that Cocoa Beach is just a short ride from Disney? Instead of spending your entire time standing in line and walking around the park, how about breaking the trip up with a little "rest" at the beach. Not only will Cocoa Beach save you hundreds of dollars at the park, but kids LOVE the beach.

Digging for shells, catching hermit crabs, body surfing, sand castles, and lots of cool playing in the water- these are not small things for kids. Sure you didn't make it to every park, but wouldn't it be nice to do something different next time?

Did you know that Cape Canaveral is right down the street from Cocoa Beach? Yep the place where the space shuttle takes off, NASA and all things scientific. Take your more "academically" minded children on a tour of NASA between days at the park. In both of these ideas, there will be a lot less restlessness and irritability at the end of the trip, and they won't get burnt out on Disney.

Finally just outside Cape Canaveral is Port Canaveral - that's where the Disney Cruise line takes off. How about a few days down to the Bahamas and back? Disney park, Disney cruise and then hit the Disney store on the way back to Disney from Port Canaveral?
